Aloha! My name is Krisztina Samu and I am a student of Oriental Medicine at the Traditional Chinese Medical College of Hawaii. I was inspired to study Oriental Medicine because of my direct experience in the healing power of acupuncture and herbs to regain emotional balance after trauma, which I experienced many years ago.

Much more recently, I was on a flight to Paris, and after the inflight video about seatbelts and emergency exits was an airline-sponsored public service announcement kindly asking passengers to not fly to Southeast Asia for child sex tours. I was so deeply disturbed by this
announcement that I decided to do something. Today, as I study under the instruction of my teachers, I am paying special attention to techniques, protocols and herbal formulas that can help patients who have experienced sexual trauma. These patients include survivors of rape, incest, trafficking and forced prostitution.

Unlike a broken arm or torn ligament where the injury can easily be seen with the help of X-ray or MRI technology, the injuries sustained by traumatized persons are not visible to the naked eye or through the use of these common diagnostic tools. Nevertheless, they are very real, and without proper intervention can result in years of suffering. Much like a broken heart, which is invisible to the naked eye, yet is a universally recognized energetic wound, emotional trauma is also energetic in nature. For this reason, the ancient art of acupuncture, which is a form of “energy medicine” is an ideal method for helping survivors regain emotional harmony in a natural, drug free way.

Please see my video below, which I produced for filmmaker, speaker and activist, Angela Shelton’s Survivor Manual blog.

I appreciate your patience as I continue to add helpful information to this site.

I wish you strength and a joy-filled future.
